This talk explores how AI-driven predictive maintenance, smart repair and remanufacturing, and digital twin technologies can help reduce life cycle costs and carbon footprint. 

How much time and money could you save if your component moved seamlessly from manufacture through to surface finishing and was coated right first time, every time? 
The easiest way to ensure this happens is to talk to an engineer with surface finishing experience when designing the product or component. They can advise on how to produce the most efficient spec, including: 
•       Keeping masking requirements as practical and achievable as possible 
•       Go straight from design to delivery, without the need for costly and time-consuming coating trials 
•       Designing out areas where unsightly or problematic burrs can form 
•       Specifying surfaces as A, B and C faces, to increase ‘right-first-time’ pass rate 
•       Ensuring all necessary features, such as holes for fixtures, are included in the design to speed up project delivery
