Marco Chacin

Head of Actuators and End Effectors, Airbus Commercial Aircraft

Marco Chacin is a robotics and automation expert with a strong foundation in electronics and control engineering. He earned his B.S. and Master’s degrees in Venezuela before moving to Japan in 2003 to pursue a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at Tohoku University, supported by Japan’s Ministry of Education.

Over two decades, he has held key roles at leading tech companies around the world, including Toyota, Cyberdyne, KUKA Robotics, Aerotech, and MathWorks, driving innovation in robotics and automation.

In 2018, he joined Airbus as Principal Robotics Engineer and, by 2022, became Head of Actuators and End Effectors, shaping the company’s robotics development strategy.
