Evgenia Yakushina, MSc, BSc, PhD, CEng, MSP, is an innovative industrial strategist and senior leader with over 17 years of experience driving strategic transformation, operational excellence, and technology commercialisation. As Strategic Programme Manager at NMIS, she leads the development and execution of technology roadmaps, aligning industry needs with organisational vision to foster sustainable growth and innovation. Evgenia is known for her expertise in building cross-functional teams, integrating AI-driven digital strategies, and enhancing operational efficiency through data-driven insights.

A Leader of the Innovations Ecosystem and Collaborations Workstream for Making Scotland’s Future, Evgenia has played a key role in developing national-level frameworks and tools to support business innovation and sustainability. Throughout her career, she has delivered over 100 projects valued at more than £35m and has been instrumental in securing long-term industry partnerships through rapid decision-making and collaborative leadership.

Evgenia is also a respected thought leader and public speaker with 25 years of experience presenting at conferences, chairing panels, and contributing to podcasts. As a Chartered Engineer and guest editor for leading materials science journals, she remains committed to advancing knowledge exchange and supporting talent development through mentorship and strategic collaboration across industry, academia, and government.

She is leading a team of 20 engineers representing different backgrounds from industry and academia, providing the hybrid solutions for the most challenging emerging developments.
